Doing Business in a Brave New World

This is the twenty-first century. For SMBs (small to medium sized businesses) the ground is shifting beneath our feet. The old methods of doing business are giving way to new and often unfamiliar methods and strategies. The shaky economy has permanently changed the realities on the ground for doing business during the next few years. The technologies we use to run our business are changing almost overnight. For some business owners, the business landscape has become bewildering and increasingly unfamiliar.

For small and medium sized business owners, there is never enough time to get the day to day tasks completed, much less keep up with the changing business and technological environment. However, business owners put the very future of their enterprises at risk if they do not devote time to tracking new developments in these two areas.

Our vision for The 610 Business Journal is to provide an easily accessible source for relevant news and critical information for SMBs. This publication will report the significant developments in business, internet and business technology. This journal will also track important changes in business law and tax issues that can potentially impact the business community. The writers and editorial staff will continually strive to provide the critical information and reports that business owners will need to build and grow their companies. We want to earn a respected place in the business community and, in serving this community, to make a difference in the level of success we will all collectively achieve in this difficult economic environment.
